Sewing Projects

I just finished this matching hat and skirt from the fabric I bought with Susie. Though you might like to see it.THE HAT...

AND THE SKIRT.
It comes down to her ankles so it makes her look tall. I am also working on a blouse that coordinates with it, but that is taking a little more time and thought. Its one big experiment sewing without any patterns. :) I'm kinda just making it up as I go along. So far the hat and skirt turned out just right.

Shoes!!!

Anybody's shoes!!!
Miss Kate loves to tromp about in someone eleses shoes, so I put together some of the video clips I had of her trying on some of mine today. She usually likes to wear just one since she can keep her balance better and move quicker that way. She also doesn't like to have the strap between her toes where it belongs. I guess she needs a pair of flip flops to get used to the feeling. Notice toward the end of the video when she dissappears into the bedroom... she is putting away the extra shoes she had been playing with. She comes out very pleased with herself but doesn't want to show her face to the camera. (Guess she gets that from her mom.) When I tell her to say 'HI' she covers the lens with her finger. ENJOY!

Hooray for Sunshine!!!

We are lovin' the weather here right now. It's been beautiful and warm and the fresh spring air smells so good!!! Miss Kate has especially been enjoying being able to get outside.Sunshine means playing with her golf ball and stick outside.

I guess she believes in the saying 'walk softly and carry a big stick. :)

Sunshine means lounging in Mommys chair...

...and bird watching.

Sunshine means lots of water to stay hydrated.

and going for walks.

It makes her dance on the patio.

Sunshine means juiceboxes and lawnchairs.
She loves to use the cupholder on the lawnchair.
