School!

Katelynn 6 yrs old  (well, almost)

We started school over a month ago now. The "school room" wasn't quite put together and was missing some vital pieces but we started anyhow. :)  Katelynn started the A Beka video school this year and it turns out that Aubrey enjoys quite a bit of it and The Boy is keeping right up with Kate as well, so they actually do it together.  The Boy is a very motivated and driven person who soaks up the learning like a sponge. He keeps Kate on her toes. She is not so motivated but very competitive so it is good for her to be working with him. :)

 (Note the Kleenex box. We were sick the whole first week.)

 By the end of our first week everyone was rather exhausted. I stood up to help The Boy with his paper and when I turned around to pick up Aubrey again I found she had zonked out in less than 3 minutes. :D

 Incidentally, it rained hard on "U" day, so they spent break time tromping around in the downpour with their uh, uh, uh, Umbrella. :)

 These days school looks more like this. Thanks Gramma Jo for finding us the perfect school table. :)

I have been so thankful to be able to watch them learn and also to know what they are learning.  It is a privilege to be so involved in their schooling this year.
