We heard everybody else was sick so we thought we'd get sick too. Besides, misery loves company right?

And feelin just plain miserable with a fever of 103.(this was actually right after she had the chills and I bundled her all up and she just lay there shivering)
Heading to the doctor Monday morning where after hours of nurses and doctors and x-rays and waiting we were sent home with a nebulizer to use 4 times a day with Albuterol and a steroid to take twice a day to fix up her lungs which were extrememly congested.
Starting to feel better on her meds ...
but still content to just lay there.

was the morning after her first night on steroids. :D They said a possible side effect of restless sleeping. She was all over the bed and up and down tossing and turning all night long. (Daddy slept on the guest bed and mommy ended up with a bruise on her cheek)
She did much better after that first night, and has since slept fairly well, all things considered.
We are happy to be past the worst and slowly doing better. Energy is mostly back but she still coughs a lot, struggles to eat much and drinks only water.
Remember that empty lot across the road from our house... well, they've been doing some work on it the past couple of days and Miss Kate loves to watch the diggers and bulldozers.
I'm just glad for something to keep her entertained while she is stuck in the house for a while.
She watched this little digger scooping dirt and then hauling it out of sight to an empty lot 2houses down from us for quite a long time this afternoon.
And then the little bulldozer putted around for awhile.
And since she was being entertained she ate her whole snack!!

So that was the big excitement of our day today. :) Can you tell we've been stuck home for awhile. I am sick now too, but just with a cold and it hasn't been too bad. Today is the worst so far and I've just been a bit congested with sore throats in the night and morning. Hopefully that means I'm just getting a light version. Ya'all stay well now, and have a good weekend. :)

Awww, get well soon! I am glad Miss Kate was able to get some relief, poor girl.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this. Ezra had to go on steroids for extreme croup once and he was soooooo grouchy and hungry--both things they had warned us about. Something they hadn't warned us was that the steroids would make all 4 of his eye teeth come in that weekend :) Extreme teething, baby! We'll be praying that you're all back up to speed soon!
So sorry to hear about your illnesses. It is so hard when your little ones are sick, especially when they can't tell you what's wrong, what they would like or where it hurts! Glad you were able to get in to the dr. Alyssa had the flu about 10 days ago, passed it to Lauren, who was recouping great until yesterday morning the fever was back. Into the dr we go and we find out she has two massive ear infections, one may burst and a sinus infection. So on to target to get amoxicillan! Your not kidding about keeping up with the Jones' when it comes to sick kids lately! :)

Brooke- Kate has 3 eye teeth about to pop through. guess we'll see if the steroid helps out. Seems like they have been taking forever. the one that is through is allready 1/2 way in but still the rest remain hidden.
Amy- OUCH! Ear infections are the worst. :( That is too bad the bug has to drag on and on from one kid to the next. Hang in there, and we'll keep you in our prayers for patience and return to good health. :)
Glad to hear Miss Kate's feeling better! Leroy got the high fever part (104) which was scary but thankfully his cough was not that bad. When they have trouble breathing that's the worst for me.
So glad to hear Miss Kate is recovering - that fever can get so scary.
Also congrats on your Good News! Miss you...when are you coming this way again?

We are going to be there this weekend Lordwilling for the funeral and I will probably stay on through the following week as we had planned to come then anyway. J will go back home to work for a few days and then return for the following weekend. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. :)
