Labor Day Weekend Trip

We made our monthly trek to visit the Portland/Vancouver relatives, of course, and stayed for a week this time. Spending the first half the week in Ridgefield and the second half in Oregon City. Gotta keep all the grandparents happy ya know. ;)
Elliott got reaquainted with his Grandpas and met a whole slew of new folks he'd never seen the likes of before.
Checkin out Boppa
Chillin' with Grandpa BlakeAnd lots of cousins and Aunts and Uncles....
Surprising A. Maureen for her 50th!!!A. Cheryl preserving the cake from certain destruction in a very kind manner. :Dcousin Nathan trying to make friends with a very uncertain Miss Kate. The influence of older cousins on my children. ;)And of course we couldn't miss canning time!! Helping to can pears and beans. (the pear canning pics somehow got deleted.)The not-so-responsible Nathan, a little too happy to have a knife in his hands. :Dand his responsible older sister taking care of Elliott.Miss Kate even got to help a little as she loves to snap beans. And the inside crew...working well together for over 50 years. :)
The second half the trip was spend at Boppa and Gramma Jo's as aforementioned.
We spent one evening at Frenchman's Bar on the Colombia River where we all met for dinner and then played some volleyball with more friends and family afterward. Miss Kate wasted no time in getting to the sand with her bucket and shovel while waiting for Phi and Leroy to show up.And here they are...
Love how Leroy takes driving his dump truck so seriously. Phi, being the oldest cousin, is into bigger and better toys. :D
He was pretty talented with his shovel for a 2 1/2 yr old.

Aunt Jenn and Jeffy chillin' in the breeze.
A hungry little munchkin sneakin' some food...
joined by another hungry munchkin.

Back to home to Boppa and Gramma Jo's...
A. Veevee facinating Miss Kate with her piano playing skills.
And Miss Kate trying her hand at helping A. Veevee out.
Takin' her "children" for a walk.

More traveling posts to come...

Wow now I feel waaayy behind being all my pictures from then and even before that are still on the camera. So cute of Elliott with his grampas, his and their shirts are color coordinated in both shots. Glad you're safely home again from the most recent trip!
