One last post...

...Before this baby shows its face! At least thats what I'm hopin'! :) We've been calling Gramma Jo on the phone every day as usual but not with any exciting news like "Hey, pack yer bags cuz baby is on the way". Just the general chatty stuff...
Here's Tay-O talkin' to Gramma Jo.

Well, okay so he's just listening and wiggling all over the place as usual. :)

We ARE ready and waiting over here tho.
I've got the cleaning done (although I'm not sure how much longer that can last),
The baking done
I love my double ovens but when your belly sticks out as far as mine neither the higher one or the lower one is very convenient to reach into and since I'm rather accident prone to begin with I have this to show for all the baking I've been up to lately. Kate asked me yesterday If I could please take it off as its been 5 days since I did it and it currently looks like this.
YUCK!
The canning is done ...at least for now, but more is going to be needing done if this baby don't hurry it up some.

The lawn is mowed!
My sewing is never DONE, but I've gotten all kinds of stuff sewed lately...
Here are a few of the items although none have their buttons on yet simply because this town has only Walmart for their button selection and I didn't find what I wanted. :)

Still needs its elastic in the waist but you get the idea.

Um yeah, this is supposed to be post-maternity and I'm counting on my lose-25-lbs-in-one-day diet to do the trick for making it actually fit me! ;)

This looks a little better.
P.S. Thanks for the buttons mom! They turned out perfect!

Everybody got their haircuts done. Well, except me of course. I'm waiting for my sister which means after the baby comes.

The poor boy got hair in his mouth! :)

In other news, Kate and Tay-O got their trike fixed after much labor with the new B-day tools! ;)

We went to the fair a couple times while it was here and saw the usual stuff:
Pets
The usual farm animals
The not so usual farm animals
(like this furry chicken who cant find its face)
Some wild animals

And some elephants.
Kate was dying to ride an elephant but it was a ridiculous price for a short walk around the pasture and back...
So she settled for the ferris wheel...
and the train ride!
She LOVED them both and while at the top of the ferris wheel looked down on all the rides whirling around and exclaimed exitedly, with eyes shining, " Oh! I would like to ride on all those ones too! That would be SO FUN!"

I just snapped this pic the other day in a spur of the moment snapping session where I plunked them in the rocking chair on the deck in the midst of their daily play and shot some pics, after Mr. Wise Guy was looking for a pic of the 2 kids together to put on his new credit card and we came up blank in our search of any recent and not so recent files.
I LOVE IT! :)
Miss Kate looking very angelic...
...aand more like herself! :)

A decent portrayal of both kids personalities above and below.

and a couple extra I couldn't resist puttin up. :)

And last but not least, Miss Kate preaching from her make-do pulpit. :)

Summer fun & more Elliott pics (of course)

This weekend was Mr. Wise Guy's off Fri. so we went to the park for awhile in the afternoon. Miss Kate and I went wading in the lake to cool off since it was very hot out. When waves came in from passing boats it made Kate dizzy and she promptly fell over (this happened multiple times) so that is why she has no pants on. :) I had meant to bring spares but forgot. (as usual) The kids were exhausted by the time we got home. Miss Kate fell asleep eating her granola bar. I am loving this double stroller that The Sesters so graciously gave us. Both kids love to go out rollerblading and so do I. It improves Katelynns mood when she gets grumpy about the lack of fun times with mommy, cures Elliotts tummy bubbles since he finds the bumping along very soothing, and also boosts mommy's morale. (nothing like getting out for some fresh air and exercise after a stressful morning.) I love the fact that there is so much room to fit anything I need to bring along for extensive outings. Big Thanks to T & K.
Elliott watching mommy work in the kitchen.
Hanging on with his toes like a little monkey.
Gettin cozy.
Sleeping on daddy's pillow after he's gone to work. :) Happy thoughts after a full tummy.
something musta been funny. Bathtime!!!
Look at his big fat tummy!!!
showin how tall he is. :)
So many rolls. :D Miss Kate puttin' Elliott to bed. She has to make sure he has his binky before she goes to her bed.
And here comes the Grant County Fair.
Kate loved looking at all the animals in the show barns.
There were cows, pigs, sheep, lots of goats, lamas, bunnies, chickens, ducks,...I didn't get pics of everything, here are the few that I did take.
This little calf just sat there bawling away and Kate was very concerned about it.She offered her fingers to every single animal she saw...thankfully she came home with them all still in tact.
I really thought this duck would have snapped at her when she poked its bill.
She loves ducks, but I missed all the shots I wanted to get because my camera has a 3 second delay when the batteries are running low, and a toddler can do a lot in 3 seconds!!! :D The camera was also doing weird stuff with the lighting too.She found this goat very amusing because she would point at it and it would poke its nose out at her. Then she would clasp her hands together and giggle like it was just the funniest thing and they would do it all over again. I think the goats were her favorite because they were just as curious about her as she was about them.It reminded me of her petting zoo experience at the zoo this last spring.
Peering at the pygmy goats.

Poking the sheeps ears.
She loved this little goat. It was so cute!!!
She kept poking her finger in its mouth ..and my camera kept acting up.
At the petting zoo she ran around and around the pen chasing any goats that would run from her.

And so ended our evening at the fair.
